"You should love the Lord, your God with all your strength and all your soul, and you should love your neighbor as you love yourself ."

One of the best ways to LOVE as Jesus Christ commanded is  to offer prayers on behalf of others.  Below, you will find a list of people to pray for.  Join us in offering prayers on behalf of these people!

One of the most important things we can do as Christians is to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Prayer costs us nothing, but the benefits are priceless.  Every prayer we utter to God is heard, our answer is not always "Yes"; however, there are still always positive results when you communicate with God in prayer.  St. Paul instructs us to pray without ceasing.  For more on "Constant Prayer" click (Here).

Below, you will find a listing of individuals who have requested that we offer prayers for them.  Please join us by offering prayers to our Risen, Lord Jesus Christ on their behalf.  If words fail you, there are some standard prayers below.

An Eastern Orthodox Prayer for the Sick

O Heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies Who has sent Thine Only-Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to heal all of our ailments, and deliver us from death.  Do Thou visit and heal Thy servant (name), granting (him/her) release from pain, and restoration to health and vigor, that (he/she) may give thanks unto Thee, and bless Thy holy Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages.  Amen.

An Eastern Orthodox Prayer for the Dead

Into Thy hands, O Lord, I commend the soul of Thy departed servant (name), and ask Thee to grant (him/her) rest in the place of Thy rest, where all Thy blessed Saints repose, and where the light of Thy countenance shines forever.  And I ask Thee also to grant that my present life may be Godly, sober, and blameless, and that, I too may be made worthy to enter into Thy heavenly Kingdom with those that we love, but no longer see; for Thou art the Resurrection, life, and the Repose of Thy departed servants, O Christ our God, and unto Thee to we offer glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages.  Amen.

Prayer for general Divine Intercession

O Lord our God, Who hears the prayers of your servants when they call upon Thee, hear my prayer this day, as I lift up before Thee the servant(s) of God, (name).  Asking for Thy mercy and compassion to be graciously shed upon (him/her/them).  Guide (him/her/them) to the peace and safety of your loving arms.  O loving and merciful God, Who knows the need of the faithful, help Thy servant, (name) and deliver (him/her/them) from every misfortune.  These things I ask in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
